Gitana de la Rosa is an internationally respected artistic director, choreographer, costume designer, and producer with over 30 years of professional experience creating original, full-scale performance works for stage, film, and festival platforms. With formal degrees in Theatre, Art, and Costume Design, Gitana brings a rare, multidisciplinary mastery to performance creation—bridging movement, storytelling, design, and technical production into powerful, emotionally resonant experiences.

Her academic and professional foundation includes working with legendary Broadway performer Ann Reinking at Florida State University and acclaimed director Dr. Phillip Church at Florida International University. While at FSU, Gitana designed costumes for main stage productions and was awarded multiple scholarships and a special fellowship recognizing her innovation and creative excellence.

Gitana is the Founder and Owner of Firestorm Productions Inc., a film and production company, and serves as President of Embrace World Cultures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultural arts education and performance. She upgraded and produced Festival on the Nile International bringing it to its final 50th anniversary, which she successfully increased attendance from under 28 to over 120 in just a few yearss, bringing world-class artists together in large-scale cultural showcases.

As a director, Gitana is known for her extraordinary ability to build original productions from the ground up—developing concept, narrative, choreography, costuming, staging, lighting, music integration, and performer direction into a seamless artistic vision.

She founded Fusion World Dance & Music Collective, through which she produced and directed major original works including:

All CrystalFire productions feature original storylines written and directed by Gitana de la Rosa and have showcased world-renowned artists such as Matsuriza Japanese Taiko Drummers and Latin Grammy Award–winning Maharajah Flamenco Trio, among many other exceptional performers.

What sets Gitana apart is her director’s eye—an uncommon depth of understanding that honors every element of performance: the performer, the stage, the costume, the music, the lighting, the effects, and the emotional journey of the audience. She is widely recognized for her expertise in world history, cultural costuming, and character development, enabling performers to embody authenticity while delivering unforgettable stage presence.

Her latest and most ambitious endeavor, CrystalFire World Dance & Wellness Conference, now in its second year, exemplifies her visionary leadership. As Director of the Conference and its signature showcases, Gitana has created a groundbreaking event that merges the immersive energy of a festival with the rigor of professional performance training. The conference offers dancers and artists an unparalleled experience in workshops, show preparation, stagecraft, film and photography training, and full-production performance—filling a critical gap in traditional dance education.
